Black Floor Lamps
Black floor lamps draw a clear, graphic line through the room and, even when switched off, stand out against the wall like a drawing. In this collection you will find floor lamps in black: arc lamps with an LED light band or a fabric shade, reading lamps with articulated arms, slim LED rods, an LED spiral, a tripod and cable lights tensioned between floor and ceiling.
Choosing a black floor lamp by shape
- Arc lamp: FJOR traces a satin black arc with an opal LED light band; it is 180 cm high and dimmable. The arc lamp LIRI brings light over the sofa or reading corner beneath a fabric shade.
- Reading lamp: BIRK, with its articulated arm and tilting LED head, directs light precisely onto a book or desk; besides black, it comes in nickel, white and red.
- Sculptural: the LED spiral ILVA winds two bands of light around a central rod, is dimmable and offers three colour temperatures.
- Almost invisible: the black LED light bar LUMA and the cable light ASKA with black cones are tensioned between floor and ceiling, for ceiling heights up to 350 cm.
Styling black
Black metal suits modern, minimalist and industrial interiors and creates a strong contrast against pale walls. With wood, linen and wool it looks calm and Scandinavian. In the evening, a black lamp body recedes into the background, so the light itself takes centre stage. Pick up the black elsewhere in the room – in picture frames, table legs or a wall light – so the floor lamp becomes part of a whole. Several models also come in other colours, such as BIRK in red or AVEN in white and red. Dimensions and technical details are listed on every product page.
Space and proportions
An arc lamp needs room for its base and reach, so measure the distance to the sofa or armchair before ordering. For narrow corners and small rooms, slim shapes such as the LED rod SVEN or floor-to-ceiling lights take up very little floor space. In large rooms, a black floor lamp can have more presence and becomes a graphic focal point.
