The reading lamp BIRK uses its adjustable articulated arm to bring light exactly where you need it: over your book, the reading chair or the corner of the sofa.
Design and materials
A slim metal rod rises at an angle from the round base and bends at a joint into a second arm. At its end sits a small, half-cylinder lamp head that tilts on a further joint and directs its light downwards. On the round base stands an angular housing for the power supply, giving the silhouette a technical, slightly retro character. The lamp comes in black, nickel, white and red; on the light and coloured versions, the round base is set off in a dark tone.

Where the lamp shines
Next to the reading chair in the living room, BIRK becomes a classic reading lamp that tilts over your shoulder. In the bedroom, it stands in very little space beside the bed or a chest of drawers and takes the place of a lamp on the bedside table. In the study, it shines precisely onto the desk. Black and nickel look restrained and understated, white bright and light, while red adds a cheerful touch of colour to calm rooms.
