Rattan Pendant Lights
A rattan pendant light is the natural alternative to a classic ceiling light: the weave looks light, softens the room and casts the light in delicate patterns across the ceiling and walls. Here you will find pendant lights in woven rattan and bamboo, from the flat cone and the dome to the large flower.
The models at a glance
- Rattan: BINE directs the light down onto the table with a flat, densely woven cone. ASTA opens like a flower of ten petals, while ARVE takes the shape of a rounded teardrop.
- Bamboo: ANNI is a basket-like dome with a diagonal weave, AMRA a flat shade with a white diffuser, ALDA a woven head with long bamboo fringes.
- Sizes: from ALDA at Ø 15 cm for an alcove up to ASTA at Ø 100 cm for large rooms.
- Colours: as well as natural, BINE also comes in brown and ANNI also in black.
Hanging a rattan ceiling light
Above a dining table, the bottom edge should hang about 60 to 70 cm above the tabletop; on ASTA, the 120 cm cable can be adjusted to the height you want. In a living room or hallway, where people walk underneath, allow about 2 m of headroom. Above long tables, two or three identical lights in a row look calm. An open weave such as ANNI’s draws distinct light patterns, while a dense weave or a diffuser gives softer light.
Frequently asked questions
Is a bulb included?
Not with several models. You will find this on each product page. A warm white LED bulb suits a natural weave best.
Who connects the pendant light?
Pendant lights are hardwired to the ceiling. Have the installation carried out by a qualified electrician.
