Dimmable Pendant Lights
Dimmable pendant lights give you the choice between bright task light and a soft evening mood over the dining table, kitchen island or sofa. In this collection you will find pendant lights in travertine, alabaster, terrazzo, ceramic, glass and solid wood that dim with a dimmable bulb or an integrated LED and a compatible dimmer. Whether it is a single bell, a linear light or a cascade of many shades, a dimmer lets you tune each pendant to the time of day and the occasion.
What ‘dimmable’ means here
- Models with a bulb holder: most of these pendants take a separate bulb. They dim with a dimmable bulb and an external dimmer, which are generally not included.
- Integrated LED: BALVO, GURSI and the linear solid wood pendant ANOD have a built-in LED. They dim with a compatible wall dimmer (not included).
- The dimmer: it usually replaces the wall switch and should be suitable for LED lighting. On multi-light pendants, take the combined wattage of all bulbs into account. Have it installed together with the light by a qualified electrician.
- Height and sloping ceilings: many models, such as VINA, have a 150 cm height-adjustable cable and suit sloping ceilings up to 30°.
Dimmed light over the table and island
Over the dining table, warm white light turned down low feels inviting. The travertine pendant CADA, with three walnut-finish shades on an 80 cm stone beam, or BALVO in alabaster in four lengths light long tables evenly. Over a kitchen island, several small shades in a row work well – for example the six shapes of VINA or the ceramic shades KATO and LUKI. In the living room, the alabaster ring GURSI makes a calm focal point, while the cascade JARI adds colour in eleven shades.
