The black and gold floor lamp FALA is a light sculpture: curving black bands form an abstract figure that lifts a glowing globe into the air like a small moon.
Design and materials
The smooth, matt black body winds upwards in several bands, opens into various cut-outs and shows a long, drop-shaped opening in its lower part. On the upper, curved tip rests a pale globe with a subtle, moon-like surface texture; when switched on, it glows softly and evenly. In the black and gold version, the inner surface of the body is set off in gold, so the light is reflected warmly and makes the openings shimmer. The all-black version looks calmer and more graphic. FALA is a compact floor lamp that stands beside furniture as a light object rather than lighting an entire room.
