Desk Lamps
A good desk lamp puts light exactly where you need it – on the keyboard, notebook and paperwork – without lighting up the whole room. In this collection you will find cordless desk lamps with touch controls, a rechargeable take on the classic banker’s lamp, and designs in aluminum, wood, travertine and metal with a brushed brass finish.
Most models use an integrated LED and charge via USB or USB-C, so your desk stays free of cables.
What makes a good desk lamp
- Light direction: a tilting head or a downward-facing light bar keeps the light on your work surface. The foldable RUNO has a long LED bar with a tilting head and folds away when you are done.
- Color temperature: warm white around 3000 K feels calm, while neutral and cool white look crisper. LIRI offers 3000 K, 4100 K and 6000 K with a color rendering index of CRI > 95.
- Brightness: a touch dimmer lets you adapt the light to the time of day and the task at hand. KARO dims steplessly from 5 to 100 %, and VEGA and LIRI are steplessly adjustable too.
- Battery life: depending on brightness, one charge lasts 8 to 24 hours on KARO and up to 10–12 hours on VEGA. The figures for every model are on its product page.
Banker’s lamp, wood or natural stone
The rechargeable MONA reinterprets the classic banker’s lamp with a 25.5 cm wide shade, a weighted base and warm white light – with no cable trailing across the desk while in use. WOODI in solid wood and metal suits a Japandi-style workspace. If you prefer natural materials, OMA pairs a travertine body with a walnut base and a USB port in the base.
