Wood Floor Lamps

A wood floor lamp brings warmth to a room even before it is switched on. Wood pairs well with fabric, linen and ceramics, and sits naturally in Scandinavian, Japanese-inspired and natural interiors. In this collection you will find tripod floor lamps with tall fabric shades, a sculpture of twisted wooden slats and slim fabric columns on wooden bases, all giving a soft, gentle light for the living room, bedroom and hallway.

Three styles of wood floor lamps

  • Tripod with fabric shade: three slender wooden legs hold a tall cylinder of ivory fabric. JORA glows like a lantern in the evening, while MALVA is narrower and reveals a fine weave once lit. Both come in dark walnut or light wood.
  • Wood as sculpture: on YLVA, curved slats of light wood twist into an hourglass shape; the light falls through the gaps onto the floor and walls. It stands on a silver cross base and is 110 or 145 cm tall.
  • Fabric column on a wooden base: HEDA is just 14 cm wide, finely pleated and 120 or 160 cm tall. INGA has a ribbed shade in cream and stays compact at 120 cm. Both stand on a wooden base 16 cm wide.

Walnut or light wood?

Dark walnut feels warm and refined and goes well with linen, wool and dark ceramics. Light wood feels airy and Nordic and suits white walls and pale floors. For JORA and MALVA you choose the wood tone directly on the product page; YLVA comes in light natural wood, and HEDA and INGA stand on a base in a warm wood tone.

Where a wood floor lamp works best

In the living room, place it next to the sofa or a reading chair to spread soft light over the seating area. In a narrow alcove, between two pieces of furniture or beside the bed, the slim columns HEDA and INGA fit where a wider lamp would get in the way. In the hallway, a wood lamp gives calm orientation light. Combine it with table lamps or wall lights so the room is lit at several heights in the evening. Dimensions and technical details are listed on each product page.
