The designer floor lamp YLVA twists narrow slats of light wood into a slender hourglass shape and lets the light fall into the room between the curves.
Design and materials
The body of the lamp consists of many thin, curved wooden slats that wind around one another in a continuous twist from the base to the top. At the bottom and top, the form widens into two rounded bulges; in the middle, it narrows to a slim waist. When switched on, the wood glows from within and traces every slat as a bright line, while soft light falls through the fine gaps onto the floor and wall. The lamp rests on a low, four-armed cross base in silver-colored metal. You choose between a height of 110 cm and 145 cm, both in the same light wood finish.

In the living room, YLVA stands in a corner or beside the sofa and looks like a wooden sculpture even when switched off. In a reading corner next to an armchair, it creates a calm, cozy mood in the evening; in the bedroom, it accompanies the bed or a dresser with a muted glow. In the entryway, it welcomes guests with a soft accent of light, and the 145 cm version adds a stronger vertical accent there.
