Fabric Ceiling Lights
A fabric ceiling light brings soft, glare-free ambient light into a room. The shade hides the bulb completely and spreads the light evenly, without harsh shadows – pleasant in bedrooms, living rooms and anywhere you would rather not look straight into a light source.
The fabric ceiling lights in this collection
- Pleated: LILJA has a flat, radially pleated shade in beige or white, in diameters from 50 to 100 cm.
- Double cone: LIESE consists of two stacked cone shades in cream, at Ø 50 or 60 cm.
- Silk like a lantern: KLARA, with its rounded ivory silk shade and fine ribs, recalls a Japanese lantern.
- Flat and light: KELDA stretches cream silk over fine metal ribs and sits close to the ceiling – a good choice for rooms with low ceilings.
Size and light
In small rooms, a shade of 40 to 50 cm in diameter is enough; in large living rooms, a light from about 60 cm looks well balanced. KLARA, KELDA and LIESE come with a warm white LED bulb, so they are ready to use straight after installation. Warm white light of 2700 to 3000 K makes cream and ivory feel particularly restful. Fabric gathers dust over time: a soft brush or a vacuum with a brush attachment on a low setting is all the care it needs.
Frequently asked questions
Does a fabric ceiling light give enough light?
Yes, as ambient lighting. The fabric softens the light slightly but makes it glare-free. For reading or working, add a table lamp or floor lamp.
Who installs the light?
Ceiling lights are hardwired. Have the installation carried out by a licensed electrician.
