The Scandinavian floor lamp MAJA places a narrow, cream fabric cylinder on three angled wooden legs – a clear shape in the spirit of Nordic mid-century design that looks like a glowing column in the evening.
Design and materials
The shade is a straight cylinder of light fabric, 17.5 cm in diameter and 85 cm high. The three wooden legs taper towards the bottom, splay slightly outwards and hold the cylinder in its lower third, so that it seems to stand between them. At the bottom, the legs open to a width of 29 cm and give the 128 cm tall lamp a secure footing. When switched on, the fine weave of the fabric shows, and the light falls softly and evenly in all directions. The black mains cable runs down the centre between the legs. You choose between dark wood for a warm, calm effect and light wood for a fresh, Nordic look.
