The Scandinavian floor lamp MAJA places a narrow, cream fabric cylinder on three angled wooden legs – a clear shape in the spirit of Nordic mid-century design that looks like a glowing column in the evening.
Design and materials
The shade is a straight cylinder of light fabric, 17.5 cm (6.9 in) in diameter and 85 cm (33.5 in) high. The three wooden legs taper toward the bottom, splay slightly outward and hold the cylinder in its lower third, so that it seems to stand between them. At the bottom, the legs open to a width of 29 cm (11.4 in) and give the 128 cm (50.4 in) tall lamp a secure footing. When switched on, the fine weave of the fabric shows, and the light falls softly and evenly in all directions. The black power cord runs down the center between the legs. You choose between dark wood for a warm, calm effect and light wood for a fresh, Nordic look.

Where the lamp shines
In the living room, MAJA stands in a corner or beside the sofa and casts soft ambient light over the seating area. In the bedroom, it accompanies the bed with a muted glow and, thanks to its slim shape, takes up hardly any space. Beside a desk or a dresser, it adds a calm, vertical accent. Dark wood suits linen, wool and oak; light wood suits Scandinavian rooms with plenty of white and natural tones.
