The rice paper lamp FREJA is a classic paper globe in the wabi sabi style: cream rice paper over fine ribs that spreads a soft, diffused light into the room.
Design and materials
The paper is stretched over horizontal ribs that deliberately run slightly irregularly, giving the globe a lively, crafted-looking surface. Fine vertical struts hold the shape. The light source is hidden inside, so the whole globe glows evenly and warmly without any glare. A thin, light-colored cable carries the lamp. FREJA comes in four diameters from 30 to 60 cm, all in the same cream finish. Even the large globes look light despite their volume, because the paper weighs almost nothing and lets the light through.

Where the lamp shines
Above a wooden dining table, FREJA at 50 or 60 cm provides cozy, even general lighting. The smaller 30 or 40 cm globes suit the bedroom, a reading room or the hallway. Several sizes hung at different heights form a relaxed group above a kitchen island or in a high-ceilinged living room. The paper globe goes with pale wood, linen, rattan and ceramics and brings a calm, Japanese-inspired note to any room.
