The large arc floor lamp GILA stretches a black arc up to 185 cm high and hangs its dome shade far out into the room – over the corner of the sofa, the armchair or the coffee table.
Design and materials
The slender arc of black metal rises from a flat, round base, Ø 30 cm, and leans forward in a wide curve. At its end sits a hemispherical metal shade, Ø 30 cm: matte black outside, pale inside, so the light falls downward in a focused, glare-free beam. The arc passes through a cut-out in the shade and is attached there by a joint that lets you tilt the lamp head. The arc comes in two parts and can be adjusted in length. GILA is switched on with a foot switch on the cable. The pared-back shape is reminiscent of classic arc lamps from the sixties.

Where the lamp shines
In the living room, GILA is best placed to the side behind the sofa so that the shade hangs over the seat or coffee table and forms a warm circle of light. Beside a reading chair, the arc lamp becomes a reading light shining from above. Above a small around table in a eat-in kitchen or dining nook, it also adds a focused point of light. The matte black suits modern, Scandinavian and industrial interiors, linen, bouclé and light wood.
