The pleated pendant light ESKE hangs as a wide, cream fabric bowl from three black metal chains – a wabi sabi pendant that bathes the room in soft, warm light.
Design and materials
The shade is made of finely pleated cream fabric whose folds converge towards the centre on the underside. The upper rim is gently waved into rounded arches, so the bowl recalls an upturned flower. Three black chains lead from the rim to a ring and from there via a central chain to the ceiling. When lit, the light shines evenly through the fabric and traces every fold. ESKE comes in four diameters from 40 to 80 cm.

Where the lamp shines
Above a round dining table, ESKE at 60 or 80 cm looks like a light fabric canopy and gives the dining area a calm centre. In the bedroom or a living room with linen, wood and pale walls, the pleated fabric underlines the natural wabi sabi look. The smaller 40 and 50 cm sizes also fit above a sideboard or in a hallway with enough ceiling height.
