The paper lamp SELMA is a large wabi sabi mushroom lamp: a wide cone shade rests on an irregularly crinkled column of white paper.
Design and materials
Shade and base are fully covered in paper. The crinkled surface of the column catches the light in many small folds and makes the lamp look like a sculpture, while the flat shade spreads the light softly downwards. When lit, shade and column glow warmly and evenly. SELMA comes as a table lamp in two sizes: Ø 50 cm at 51 cm high and – as a real statement – Ø 75 cm at 76 cm high. Thanks to the crinkled surface, each lamp looks a little different, true to the wabi sabi idea, and brings a calm, sculptural note to the room.

Where the lamp shines
On a wide living room sideboard, SELMA becomes a calm centrepiece, ideal with oak, linen and ceramics. The 50 cm size suits chests of drawers in the bedroom or a console table in the hallway. The 75 cm version needs space and looks best on long lowboards or in large, high-ceilinged rooms.
