The travertine ceiling light VOLA combines a compact bowl of natural stone with two glowing globes of satin glass – a small, sculptural object for ceiling or wall.
Design and material
The body is a downward-tapering bowl of genuine yellow travertine, its pale, porous surface left matt. A satin glass globe sits on either side, and a small black end cap at the centre completes the form. When switched on, the globes glow softly and evenly while the stone above looks warm and shows its texture. The light is low in glare and works well as calm ambient lighting. The veining and pores of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
In a hallway or entrance, VOLA gives friendly light from the ceiling and adds a natural accent above an oak console. In the living room it suits a reading corner with an armchair and bookcase, where the soft light of the glass globes sets a calm evening mood. Mounted on the wall, it works beside a mirror or above a chest of drawers. Pale walls, wood and linen bring out the warm tone of the stone.
