The glass mosaic wall light KIAN draws on the tradition of leaded-glass windows: a half, trapezoidal shade of small glass panes that sits flat against the wall.
Design and materials
The shade is made up of three rows of textured glass panes held by fine bars of chrome-plated metal. Depending on the version, the panes are in shades of blue, warm amber or entirely clear; the construction is the same for all three. The rippled glass refracts the light and lets it escape upwards and downwards, creating a lively, slightly coloured glow on the wall. Even when switched off, KIAN is a decorative object thanks to its glass texture. At 17.5 cm wide and 14.5 cm high, it stays compact.
