The glass mosaic wall sconce KIAN draws on the tradition of leaded-glass windows: a half, trapezoidal shade of small glass panes that sits flat against the wall.
Design and materials
The shade is made up of three rows of textured glass panes held by fine bars of chrome-plated metal. Depending on the version, the panes are in shades of blue, warm amber or entirely clear; the construction is the same for all three. The rippled glass refracts the light and lets it escape upwards and downwards, creating a lively, slightly colored glow on the wall. Even when switched off, KIAN is a decorative object thanks to its glass texture. At 17.5 cm (6.9 in) wide and 14.5 cm (5.7 in) high, it stays compact.

Where it shines
In the entrance hall, KIAN welcomes visitors with colored light and turns a plain wall into a focal point. In the living room it suits a reading corner or a spot beside a bookcase, where the refracted light creates a cozy mood. In the bedroom it replaces the table lamp above the nightstand, and in the hallway, mounted in a row, it adds colored accents. Blue feels fresh and clear, amber warm and homely, and the clear version understated and versatile.
