Design and material
Alabaster is a translucent natural stone: when switched on, light shines through the cylinders and reveals their texture. The metal mount is deliberately simple, so the stone sets the tone. Where the light comes into its own
In a hallway or stairwell, STILA structures long walls and provides calm orientation lighting. Fitted in pairs either side of a sideboard, a mirror or the bed, it emphasises the symmetry of the interior. In the living room it complements the ceiling light with light at eye level. As every alabaster cylinder is a natural product, the light remains a calm stone object on the wall even when switched off, and suits wood, linen and pale wall colours.
