The travertine wall light YAMA is a small sculpture: a natural stone cube carries a glowing opal glass globe – weight and lightness in one object.
Design and materials
The base is a compact cube of solid travertine measuring 10 cm along each edge. Its beige surface is matt and shows the typical pores, veins and small irregularities of the stone. On top sits a globe of milky white opal glass that spreads the light evenly and with low glare. The name means mountain in Japanese and describes the composition: solid ground, with light above. The veining and tone of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where it shines
Mounted as a pair either side of the bed, YAMA becomes a reading light and keeps the bedside table clear. Above a chest of drawers or dressing table, it brings soft light to face height. In the hallway, as a single point of light or as a pair above a console, it adds a calm accent. Pale wood, linen and shades of white underline its natural, Nordic simplicity. In the living room too, perhaps beside a bookcase, it reads as a quiet object of stone and glass.
