The alabaster wall light MAART looks like a small stone formation on the wall: slices of genuine alabaster with untreated edges, held by brass rivets and lit from behind.
Design and materials
The light follows the idea of Wabi-Sabi and deliberately avoids strict geometry. Each slice is cut from natural alabaster; the edges are left raw and irregular, with veins and clouding on show. Small round brass rivets fix the slices to the bracket. The integrated LED is concealed behind the stone: it makes the alabaster glow from within while drawing a warm, diffuse halo of light on the wall. MAART is available as a single slice or as a vertical composition of 2, 3, 5, 7 or 9 slices. Outline, grain and translucency vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
A single slice adds a calm point of light above a console table in the hallway or beside the front door. Mounted as a pair on either side of the bed, it replaces bedside lamps with soft, indirect light. The tall models with seven or nine slices structure a large, empty wall in the living room or stairwell like a light sculpture. Even switched off, the stone texture remains a decorative feature.
