The travertine wall light MELI plays with the balance of materials: a shallow dish of genuine travertine floats at the end of a curved metal arm, held by a cap of solid wood.
Design and materials
The shade is a gently domed disc of beige travertine, Ø 25 cm, whose pores reveal the natural texture of the stone. Beneath it sits an opal glass globe that diffuses the light softly and casts it onto the underside of the stone dish. A solid wood cap joins the shade to the curved arm, which is fixed to a round wooden rose. In the dark wood version, cap and rose are walnut-toned and the arm is matt black; in the light wood version, they are natural with a gold-toned arm. The pores and tone of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
In the entrance, above a console table, MELI welcomes you with warm, subdued light. In the living room, above a sideboard or beside an armchair, it brings natural stone to eye level. Beside the bed, it serves as a calm reading light that leaves the bedside table free. The dark version suits walnut and earthy tones; the light version suits oak, linen and pale walls.
