The travertine wall light KANSO follows the Japanese idea of simplicity: a stone plate, a glass globe and nothing else.
Design and materials
The plate is carved from solid natural travertine, with straight edges and a single rounded corner that gives the form its slight asymmetry. In front of it sits an opal glass globe that spreads the light evenly and without glare; the glow falls on the stone and brings out its pores and fine veins. KANSO can be mounted vertically or horizontally, on its own or in groups, so you can create your own lines and rhythms on the wall. At 18 cm high and 10 cm wide, it is deliberately small. The pores, colour and markings of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where it shines
In the bedroom, KANSO beside the bed accompanies quiet evening hours with gentle, glare-free light. In the living room it adds a small natural accent above a reading chair or sideboard. In the hallway, several lights in a row, mounted alternately vertically and horizontally, look like a graphic composition. In an alcove or beside a mirror in the entrance hall, it gives a friendly, subdued welcome light. The pale stone suits linen, pale wood and pared-back wabi-sabi interiors.
