The travertine wall light KIDA looks like a piece of rock someone has stood against the wall: a narrow column of raw travertine with a glowing glass globe at its upper end.
Design and materials
The stone body is carved from genuine travertine with irregularly broken edges, leaving its pores, cavities and layers openly visible. Behind it sits a plate of solid walnut that sets the pale stone off from the wall with a warm, dark border. At the side of the upper end, the light holds a globe of white opal glass that diffuses the light softly with low glare, revealing the rough surface of the travertine in grazing light. At 32 cm high with an 8.5 cm wide stone front, KIDA stays slender. The pores and markings of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where it shines
In the entrance hall above a console, KIDA greets you with warm light and shows off the natural stone the moment you walk in. In the living room it sits well beside a reading chair or above a side table, where the globe gives a calm light for the evening. In the hallway, several lights in a row give structure to a long wall. The raw stone harmonises with oak, linen and bouclé, and with wabi-sabi or Mediterranean interiors.
