Living Room Floor Lamps
Floor lamps for the living room bring light down to eye level and turn the corner of the sofa, a reading chair or an empty corner into a warm place to spend the evening. In this collection you will find arc lamps that reach over the sofa, reading lamps with articulated arms, wooden designs with fabric shades, sculptural LED lamps and slim cable lights tensioned between floor and ceiling.
The right floor lamp for every spot
- Over the sofa: an arc floor lamp brings light from above onto the coffee table and cushions. The black LED arc lamp FJOR is 180 cm high, reaches 70 cm and is dimmable. Place it to the side of and behind the sofa.
- For reading: position a reading lamp to the side of and slightly behind the armchair, so the light falls over your shoulder. BIRK directs its light onto the page with an articulated arm and a tilting head.
- As mood lighting: fabric shades and glass diffuse light softly into the room. JORA, with a tall fabric shade on three wooden legs, glows like a lantern, while the glass column KAJA shimmers through fluted smoked or milk glass.
Short on space? Floor-to-ceiling lights
In a small living room, every centimetre of floor space counts. Cable lights such as ASKA, with one to three cones of light, or the slim LED light bar LUMA are tensioned between floor and ceiling and take up almost no room; both suit ceiling heights up to 350 cm. GRAN holds an opal globe in a chrome frame and comes in versions for ceiling heights from 220 to 325 cm, so measure your ceiling height before ordering.
Layering your light
A floor lamp complements the ceiling light but rarely replaces it entirely. Combine it with table lamps or wall lights so the room is lit at several levels in the evening. Warm white light feels cosy; dimmable models such as FJOR and the LED spiral ILVA, with three colour temperatures, adapt to the time of day. Mind the proportions: in small rooms slim shapes look lighter, while in large rooms the lamp can have more presence. Dimensions and technical details are listed on every product page.
