The alabaster ceiling light BATRAZ combines a very flat profile with a lively stone pattern: its disc is a mosaic of many individual pieces of alabaster.
Design and materials
The round light is only 5 cm (2 in) high and sits almost flush with the ceiling. Its underside and rim are made of irregularly shaped alabaster tiles separated by fine joints, with a small round cover in a brass finish at the center. The frame is metal with a brass finish. When switched on, each piece shows its own translucency, from pale ivory to warm honey tones with dark veins, rather like a stone window. Grain and translucency vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
In the living room or kitchen, BATRAZ replaces an ordinary ceiling light and, at 5 cm (2 in) high, stays unobtrusive even with low ceilings. According to the manufacturer, it covers rooms of about 5 to 20 m², depending on the diameter. In a hallway or bedroom, the 40 cm (15.7 in) version is often enough. Neutral or cool white gives you clear working light; warm white a cozy evening mood.
