The travertine wall sconce JITO stacks four rounded volumes one above the other and stops right there: glass, stone, wood and a small dark sphere as a counterweight. The result is a compact light with an almost sculptural balance.
Design and materials
At the top sits a globe of mouth-blown opal glass, below it a sphere of genuine travertine carved from solid stone. Both are carried by a turned wall plate in solid walnut, finished at the bottom with a walnut sphere and a small dark knob. When lit, the opal glass spreads a soft, low-glare light that glides over the pores and veins of the travertine and is picked up by the warm tone of the wood. The light is mounted vertically. Each travertine sphere has its own markings; pores and shades vary from piece to piece.

Where it shines
Beside a mirror in the entrance hall, JITO frames your face with soft light and brings natural stone and wood into the hallway. In the bedroom it works as a pair above the nightstands, accompanying reading and unwinding with subdued light. At just 10 cm wide with a projection of around 13 cm, it also fits narrow corridors and sections of wall between doors. A warm white LED bulb brings out the interplay of stone and walnut best.
