The travertine wall sconce KOVA sets stone and glass side by side: opal glass globes glow beneath half-round travertine shades, carried by a wooden bar.
Design and materials
The shades are made from genuine travertine, with open pores and a rough, mineral surface that contrasts with the smooth opal glass globes. Short black brackets join them to a walnut-toned wooden wall bar with rounded ends. The globes diffuse the light softly and without glare, while warm white bulbs bring out the texture of the stone. The shape recalls Scandinavian design of the 1970s. KOVA comes as a double model 35 cm wide and a triple model 53.5 cm wide, each 15 cm high, with every shade measuring Ø 15 cm. The pores and markings of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
Above a mirror, KOVA casts even light on the face and frames the glass with stone and wood. In a hallway or entrance, mounted over a console table, it draws a broad, calm line of light along the wall. In the living room, the three-light version reads as an object above a sideboard or a painting. In the bedroom, it can take the place of a picture light above a chest of drawers.
