The travertine wall sconce MIRI hangs a cylinder of raw travertine from a slender black arm. Small points of light glint through the open pores of the stone.
Design and materials
An angled arm of black lacquered metal leads forwards and downwards from a round walnut wall rose. From it, via a small walnut collar, hangs a cylindrical shade of beige travertine with rounded edges. The stone surface is irregular and riddled with cavities: when switched on, the warm light shines through at these points, while the stone itself keeps its pale, mineral tone. Below, the light emerges openly. The pores and tone of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
Beside the bed, MIRI creates a subdued evening mood and plays with light and shadow on the wall. In the living room, above a side table or beside an armchair, it makes a calm reading corner. In the entrance, above a console table, it welcomes you with warm, natural light. It works best with linen, pale plastered walls and dark wood that echoes the walnut details. Mounted as a pair on either side of the bed, it creates a symmetrical picture.
