The alabaster wall sconce BASCA is a slender cylinder of genuine alabaster held at its center by a brass ring: a small light with a clear, calm form.
Design and materials
Two rounded alabaster elements sit above and below a brass ring, which is joined to the round wall plate by a short arm. At 8 cm in diameter and 33 cm high, BASCA stays delicate and fits easily on narrow stretches of wall. Switched off, it looks like a stone object; switched on, the alabaster diffuses the light within its depth and gives a soft, glare-free glow. Veining, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece.

Where it shines
In a hallway or entrance hall, BASCA adds a warm point of light above a sideboard. As a pair either side of a mirror, a picture or a headboard in the bedroom, it shows off its symmetry. In the living room it complements the main lighting with gentle evening light. Thanks to its slim proportions, it also fits beside door frames, in alcoves or on short sections of wall where a larger light would feel too heavy. The compact G9 socket takes a suitable LED bulb.
