Design and materials
The light takes the shape of an elongated capsule with rounded ends. The brass frame runs around the entire outline and holds the inset alabaster panel, cut from a solid block. When lit, the stone glows from within: the integrated LED reveals its cloudy veins, and the light emerges subdued and without glare. At 57 cm high and 15 cm wide, DOLBO looks slender and gives structure to the wall. Veining, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece.
