Design and materials
The semicircular bowl is made of genuine alabaster and sits at the top of a long round rod, fixed to the wall with a rectangular bracket. The frame is made of brass and comes in gold or black. When lit, the bowl glows from within: the veins stand out against the light, and the stone turns it into a warm, soft glow that also shines up the wall. As this is natural stone, veining, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece.
