The wooden ceiling light ILSE consists of a round ring of curved wooden slats, beneath which an opal acrylic disc spreads the light softly.
Design and materials
The light shimmers outward between the slats and draws a warm ring of stripes on the ceiling, while the disc glows evenly downward. A small wooden knob in the center holds the disc. There are two designs: model A with wide, honey-colored slats and rounded ends, 15 cm (5.9 in) high, and model C with narrower, lighter slats, 14 cm (5.5 in) high. You fit the E26 bulbs yourself, so you choose the brightness and color temperature you like. Each design comes in a smaller and a larger version.

Where the lamp shines
In the living room, ILSE brings the warmth of wood to the ceiling and suits linen, rattan and pale furniture. In the bedroom, the opal disc gives a low-glare light, and the small sizes suit the hallway, kitchen or a kid’s room. It looks particularly harmonious in Japanese or Scandinavian-style interiors. At 14 to 15 cm (5.9 in) high, it stays pleasantly flat even in rooms with a standard ceiling height.
