The vintage floor lamp VILA combines a curved rod with a bamboo look and a hanging fabric bell – a design with the easy charm of summer houses and living rooms from decades past.
Design and materials
The metal rod is finished in a warm, honey-colored tone with dark rings so that it looks like a bamboo cane, and sweeps forward at the top in a gentle arc. From its end, a bell of light fabric with fine, vertical ribs hangs on a short, black cable. Its scalloped edge is stitched with brown loops and shows as a fine line when switched on, while the warm light falls through the fabric and downward. A round plate of light, veined marble gives the 160 cm (63 in) tall lamp a secure footing. The bell measures 40 cm (15.7 in) in width.
