The travertine wall sconce VADA divides a globe into two halves: rough natural stone above, smooth glowing opal acrylic below.
Design and materials
A round wall disc of solid walnut holds a black metal arm that curves downwards. From it hangs the globe, 13 cm (5.1 in) in diameter. The upper half, in beige travertine, shows open pores and small cavities; texture and tone vary from piece to piece. The lower half, in opal acrylic, spreads the light softly and evenly downwards and to the sides. Switched on, it creates an appealing contrast between the matte, darker stone cap and the brightly glowing diffuser; switched off, the light looks like a small object of wood, metal and stone.

Where the light comes into its own
Beside the bed, VADA is an atmospheric alternative to the bedside lamp, giving soft light for reading and relaxing. In the living room, it adds a warm accent beside an armchair or above a sideboard. As a pair above a dining room sideboard or in a dining corner, it looks calm and homely. Wood, linen and pale wall colors underline its natural character.
