The travertine wall sconce ORA is small, warm and solid: a cone of genuine travertine sits beneath a turned cap of solid walnut.
Design and materials
The beige travertine shade shows the typical open pores and a matte surface. Above it sits a turned cap of brushed walnut with a small black knob. A short black arm connects the shade to a round walnut wall rose. The light falls down the wall, while the stone glows softly at the rim. The pores and tone of the travertine vary from piece to piece. At only 15 cm (5.9 in) high, ORA is compact enough for narrow walls and can also be mounted on the ceiling. The combination of pale stone, dark wood and black metal recalls mid-century Scandinavian design.
