The wood and metal wall sconce TYRA is a small Scandinavian reading light with a round wooden wall plate and a swivelling shade. Cable, switch and plug make installation possible without a wall outlet.
Design and materials
A short wooden peg sits on the light, round wooden wall plate, with a chrome-plated ball joint attached. The conical shade of lacquered metal is white inside and directs the light precisely downward or to the side; according to the manufacturer, the head can be turned up to 350°. You can choose black with a black cable, or muted sage green and blue-gray, each with a white cable. An in-line switch on the cable lets you switch the lamp on and off easily. Thanks to its compact size, TYRA also fits narrow wall spaces beside a bed, sofa or desk.

Where the lamp shines
Beside the bed, TYRA replaces the bedside lamp and can be angled onto your book. Above an armchair in the living room, it creates a compact reading corner, and in the hallway or study the small lamp places light exactly where it is needed. Light wood and matte colors suit Scandinavian-style rooms and kids’s rooms particularly well.
