The alabaster wall sconce DUMPO plays with offset and counterbalance: two half discs of genuine alabaster sit in opposite directions on a slim vertical rod.
Design and materials
Both stone elements are cut from a solid block and feature a round cut-out. The upper half disc extends to the left, the lower one to the right – creating a dynamic, almost graphic silhouette. The rod and brackets are available in gold or matte black. Switched off, DUMPO is an object of stone and metal; switched on, the alabaster diffuses the light of the integrated LED within its depth and releases it softly and without glare. Veining, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece.

Where it shines
In the living room, DUMPO becomes a sculptural focal point above a sideboard or beside the sofa. In a hallway or entrance hall it adds a warm point of light, and in the bedroom a pair either side of the bed looks balanced. The gold finish suits warm wood tones and beige, while black suits pared-back, high-contrast interiors. As the alabaster strongly softens the light, DUMPO is mood lighting rather than task lighting and looks its best combined with a ceiling light.
