The alabaster wall sconce OLZO plays with line and volume: a slim brass arc carries a long cylinder of genuine alabaster.
Design and materials
A fine rod rises vertically up the wall, curves into an arc at the top and holds the alabaster cylinder to one side. Two round wall brackets divide the rod. The shade is carved from the solid block, while the frame is made of brass and available in gold, black or nickel. Switched on, the stone glows from within: the veins stand out against the light and the light becomes a warm, calm glow. Grain, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece – these differences are part of natural stone and not a flaw. At 80 cm (31.5 in) high and just 19 cm (7.5 in) wide, OLZO needs little space yet still has real presence.

Where the light comes into its own
In the entrance, above an oak sideboard, OLZO looks like a light sculpture and gives the room an elegant vertical line. In a hallway or stairwell, it emphasizes tall walls. Beside the bed or a mirror, it provides soft, low-glare light. Gold harmonizes with warm wood; black and nickel suit pared-back or cooler interiors.
