The 1960s-style floor lamp UMEA takes up the classic rocket shape: a slim, glowing fabric cylinder stands on three angled wooden legs and looks like a small rocket just before launch.
Design and materials
The three round legs taper toward the bottom and splay slightly outward; two of them reach up the sides of the lower part of the shade and hold it in place. The cylinder in ivory fabric measures 17.5 cm (6.9 in) in diameter and 85 cm (33.5 in) in height; when switched on, the warm light shines evenly through the fine weave. UMEA is 128 cm (50.4 in) high overall, with the legs standing 29 cm (11.4 in) apart. The dark power cord runs between the legs to the floor. You choose between light wood and a dark, warm brown wood finish; the fabric shade is ivory on both.

Where the lamp shines
In a reading corner beside an armchair, UMEA creates a soft, cozy light without needing much floor space. In the living room, it lights up an empty corner or the spot beside the sofa; in the bedroom, it accompanies the bed or a dresser with a muted glow. Thanks to its slim shape, it also fits into niches and small rooms. Light wood goes well with Scandinavian and Japanese-inspired interiors, the dark version with teak, corduroy and mid-century furniture.
