The travertine pendant light KATRA plays with simple geometry: a short cylinder of stone pierces a flat disc of wood. The result is a small, very clean light with a warm glow.
Design and material
The cylinder is made of genuine beige travertine with open pores. A little above its lower end, it passes through a thin, round disc of solid wood in a walnut color, 20 cm in diameter. Beneath the disc, a ring of travertine encloses the light opening, so the light falls downwards in a focused beam and does not dazzle. A black cable leads to the ceiling. Alongside the single light, there is a double version on a 60 cm rail and a triple version on an 80 cm rail. The pores and markings of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
As a pair on either side of the bed, KATRA hangs low above the nightstands and gives a calm reading light. The double and triple versions light a dining table or kitchen island evenly from above. In the living room, a single light above a side table adds a warm accent. Travertine and walnut pair well with linen, oak and earthy tones.
