Design and material
The shade is made of triangular faces of ivory, veined alabaster that meet in a point at the top. It rests on a slender textured stem and a round black metal base with a hammered look. Two small dark knobs hold the stone, and two pull chains hang beneath the shade. At 45 cm high and 31 cm wide, CIRVI has a clear, balanced presence. When switched on, the light enters the stone, reveals its layers and emerges subdued, with no hot spots and no glare. Veining and translucency vary from piece to piece.
