The alabaster table lamp BOLZA is first and foremost an object in stone: a compact, stepped alabaster form that begins to glow from within in the evening.
Design and material
A wide shade with rounded steps sits on an alabaster base that widens towards the bottom with horizontal grooves. At the top, a small brass element finishes the shade. At 30 cm (11.8 in) in diameter and only 25 cm (9.8 in) high, the lamp looks broad and grounded, almost like a stone mushroom. The ivory stone shows natural veins and cloudy crystalline structures. When switched on, the light shines through the whole body and is scattered deep into the alabaster instead of glaring at the surface. Veining, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
On a walnut or oak nightstand, BOLZA gives a soft, subdued light for the evening. In a reading corner on a low piece of furniture, it is a stone object by day and a warm light source by night. On a living room sideboard or a hallway console, it adds a calm, mineral accent. Linen, wood and pale walls suit it particularly well, as do ceramics and other natural materials.
