The travertine pendant light KIO is shaped like a cotton reel: drawn in at the middle, flared at the top and bottom. Small, compact and made from a single piece of stone.
Design and material
The shade of beige travertine is concave all round and opens at the bottom into a wide rim. Its porous surface with small holes is left natural. At the top, a small accent of solid walnut connects the stone to the black cable. The GU10 bulb holder sits inside and gives a directed, warm light downwards that grazes the edges of the stone opening. At 16 cm (6.3 in) in diameter and 9 cm (3.5 in) high, KIO is one of the small models. The triple version hangs three lights from a 60 cm (23.6 in) rail. The pores and tone of the travertine vary from piece to piece.

Where the light comes into its own
In an entrance above a console or chest of drawers, KIO adds a calm point of light. Beside the bed, it replaces the bedside lamp and gives directed reading light. The triple version on its 60 cm (23.6 in) rail lights a kitchen island or a narrow dining table. In the living room, several lights at different heights above a side table look especially lively.
