The round LED wall sconce EVOKA captures the light in a thick, clear disc and turns it into a soft glow reminiscent of a stylized solar eclipse.
Design and materials
The optical acrylic diffuser measures 13.5 cm (5.3 in) across and is finely fluted on the front. This fluting acts like a prism, refracting the light of the integrated LED and creating a calm halo around the disc. It is carried by a smaller cylindrical aluminum base, 10 cm (3.9 in) in diameter, in black or gold. With a depth of 9 cm (3.5 in), the light also shines out at the sides and casts a warm shimmer on the wall. The contrast between the compact metal base and the transparent acrylic makes EVOKA a small, jewel-like wall object.
