The plug-in wall sconce TUVA combines a folding wooden arm in a walnut tone with a ribbed ceramic shade. It simply plugs in, which makes it a good choice for rented homes with no wall outlet.
Design and materials
On the vertical wooden wall section sits an arm of two parallel battens, at the end of which a second wooden piece swivels. From there, the lamp hangs on a twisted brown fabric cable: a brass-colored bulb holder with knurled rings and a rotary switch on the side, beneath it a white, finely ribbed ceramic shade with a wide opening. The light falls warmly downward, and the rim of the shade glows softly too. Japanese-inspired, TUVA looks both nostalgic and calm.

Where the lamp shines
Beside the bed, TUVA replaces the bedside lamp; the swing arm brings the light exactly where you read. Above an armchair in the living room, it creates a cozy reading corner, and above a small dining table or bench, a warm point of light. Wood, ceramic and brass suit Japanese-inspired, Scandinavian and wabi sabi rooms particularly well.
