Design and materials
Three long, black legs meet at the top in a black ring and end at the bottom in gold-colored caps. Above the ring, a short gold stem carries the hemispherical dome of brushed metal, topped by a small ball. The pale inner surface of the dome directs the warm light downward onto the floor, side table or armchair, while the brushed outer surface shimmers softly. The lamp is 165 cm (65 in) high, and the tripod stands 50 cm (19.7 in) wide. The power cord exits at the bottom of the tripod.
