The alabaster wall sconce AMPE is all about restraint: a slim block of solid alabaster, a holder that takes a back seat, and the material alone in the light.
Design and material
The body of real alabaster is cut from a solid block, and its rounded end sits in a rectangular metal holder. The holder comes in a warm copper finish or in matte black. The integrated LED lights the stone from within: the veins stand out against the light, and the light is diffused softly and warmly. Veining, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece. Choose between warm white (3000 K) and a warm white version that can be dimmed with a TRIAC dimmer.

In a hallway, AMPE gives rhythm to long walls and, fitted in pairs, sets clear points of light. In the living room, the wall sconce frames a sideboard, a mirror or a picture. In the bedroom it works either side of the bed, especially in the dimmable version. The diffused light is ideal for a calm evening mood.
