The travertine wall light HALO stands for radical simplicity: a small disc of genuine travertine that doesn’t show the light, but lets it graze along the wall.
Design and materials
The stone is yellowish travertine with a raw surface, open pores and fine veining, so each piece has its own pattern. The light source is hidden behind the disc, which itself remains opaque. When switched on, a soft, grazing glow appears on the wall, upwards or downwards depending on how it is mounted. This indirect light causes no glare and gives the room a calm depth, very much in the spirit of wabi-sabi. HALO takes an LED bulb with a G4 bi-pin base, which is not included. At just 10 cm in diameter, the light blends discreetly into any wall.
