The alabaster wall light BURFA is all about restraint: two shades of genuine alabaster, a bracket that stays in the background, and the stone playing with the light all on its own.
Design and materials
Two cylindrical shades with rounded ends sit one above the other in mirror image, held by a short bar on an oval wall plate. The shades are carved from a solid block of alabaster; the frame is made of brass and comes in gold, black or nickel. The light does not shine out directly but travels through the stone: the alabaster filters it, softening and warming it and drawing a gentle gradient that changes with the time of day. Veining, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece – these differences are part of natural stone, not a flaw.

Where it shines
Above a sideboard or chest of drawers in the living room, BURFA brings warm light to eye level and shows off the alabaster veining. Mounted as a pair either side of the bed, it replaces the bedside lamp and keeps the surface clear. In a hallway or stairwell, it gives calm, low-glare orientation light.
